Economist, Office of Research, Evaluation and Statistics

The Social Security Administration is currently recruiting for an Economist in the Office of Research, Evaluation, and Statistics; Division of Policy Evaluation. The selectee will serve as an evaluation and quantitative analyst in the areas of income maintenance and Social Security with responsibility for planning and conducting research and evaluation studies. Specific duties include developing and utilizing simulation models to evaluate the distributional effects of social welfare and/or social insurance programs; comparing and identifying the differences between simulation models; and conducting policy analyses from outputs of simulation or econometric models.
