O53 Economics of East Asia
The Williams College Economics Department is seeking to make a tenure-track appointment beginning fall
of 2011, and we invite applications. We are particularly interested in talented researchers and teachers in
the specific sub-fields mentioned above, but we will actively consider highly qualified candidates in all
fields. Scholars whose research focuses on East Asia are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a Ph.D. completed, or expect to complete their Ph.D., by September 2011. We welcome applications from those seeking positions at the advanced assistant professor level. Senior appointments will be considered in exceptional circumstances. Williams College is a highly selective institution, ranked as the top liberal arts college by US News and World Report. We are a department of active scholars (http://econ.williams.edu/) and currently have 25 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. In addition to our undergraduate program we operate and staff the Center for Development Economics (http://cde.williams.edu/) offering an MA in Policy Economics.
