Ursinus College, a highly selective, non-denominational national liberal arts college of 1,800 residential students located outside Philadelphia, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in economics with background in finance beginning fall 2011. Main teaching responsibilities include introduction to finance, investments, corporate finance and introductory economics.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education, enthusiasm for undergraduate research, teaching an interdisciplinary first-year seminar, and support the College's commitment to fostering an international perspective. PhD required by September 1, 2011. Evidence and promise of excellence in teaching and research required. Applied orientation a plus as is experience/research focused on developing economies of the Pacific Rim.
